e-mail Accounts • Page 2
This is where you will setup your Primary e-mail Account. The screen below for an example.

1. In the field labeled "POP3 server" type in your POP3 server name. This will be provided to you by Internet Service Provider (ISP) or System Administrator. Depending on your ISP, this line might read as follows:
postoffice.att.net or mailhost.mci.net, etc.

2. In "Username" enter your user name for your mail account.

3. In "Password" enter your password for your mail account.

3. In the field labeled "SMTP server" type in your SMTP server name.

5. In "Your return address" enter your return mail address. In most cases this will be your primary mail account provided by your ISP or System Administrator.

If you are not sure of what to enter in these fields contact your ISP or System Administrator for assistance.

6. If you wish to use GoldMine® as Microsoft Internet Explorers primary mail client place a check in the box next to "Use GoldMine® as Explorer's e-mail client". This is off by default and we do not recommend this feature.

7. If you are using a dial-up connection go to the "Network Connection" area. If you are connected to the internet via a LAN or other means DO NOT select this option. Place a check by the "Use Dial-up networking". You will then have the option to choose from the pull down menu to select your dial up connection. Dial-Up networking must be properly configured on your computer or no selections will appear. If you are using a dial-up connection and there are no selections contact your ISP or System Administrator for assistance in configuring your computer for dial-up networking.

8. You may select the "Hang up when done" option depending on your individual needs.

9. Next, click on the "More Options" button. Next Section
